Yesterday, a dynamic group of Estonian Business Angels (EstBAN) visited BootUP to learn about BootUP’s specialized way of working with both startups and corporates. BootUP’s Venture Studio approach really sets us apart, and the EstBAN group was eager to learn more from BootUP Founder & President, Marco ten Vaanholt, who rolled up his sleeves to show how the BootUP team really digs in to work with startups and corporates. Take a look at an example of seven consecutive days at BootUP – a pretty typical week as far as international visitors are concerned!
Two Trade Representatives – one after the other! On Friday, 9/28, BootUP was honored to meet with the Nataliya Mykolska, Trade Representative of Ukraine – Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade. Minister Mykolska is currently a Ukrainian Emerging Leaders Fellow at Stanford’s Center on Democracy, Development, and the Rule of Law. We discussed the BootUP Ukraine initiative and further strengthening the entrepreneurial bridge. That same afternoon, BootUP was also thrilled to welcome Commercial Advisors from the Consulate General of Denmark, visiting BootUP for the first time.
The following week, we had Latin America, Asia, and France represented, all getting inspired at BootUP! On Monday 10/1 and Tuesday 10/2, we had two different groups of Brazilian executives holding workshops at BootUP. On Wednesday 10/3, the Taiwan Trade Center brought us a high profile delegation from Taoyuan City, and BootUP Founders Mukul Agarwal and Marco ten Vaanholt and BootUP Chief Transformation Officer, Rohit Tandon, had a very lively and engaging dialogue with the delegation about elements needed to build an entrepreneurial ecosystem. On Thursday 10/4, we welcomed a high level delegation from the Pays de la Loire Region of Western France, visiting Silicon Valley on a digital/transformation/leadership learning expedition. Marco and Rohit inspired the group by sharing their personal experiences and perspectives on innovation and entrepreneurship. That same afternoon, a Latin American delegation of corporate executives and startup founders from Argentina, Colombia, Costa Rica and Mexico visited and learned about corporate innovation from Rohit and BootUP mentor Amit Jain and an overview of the US legal system from BootUP community member Michael Halloran and Julia Chang from HFK Law. While this was taking place, Mukul was at the Global Blockchain Forum in San Francisco as one of the pitch judges.
What seven days can bring! This is a great example of what happens at BootUP on a regular basis. Come check us out!
